Blaise Vignon is Emerging Business Team Lead, France, a role which includes building relationships with the country’s growing  start-up ecosystem.  A key part of this is the BizSpark program, which supports start-ups worldwide with technology, support and visibility.  Blaise brings a wide variety of experience to his role: he started his career as an engineer at nVidia in Silicon Valley, before joining the Boston Consulting Group in Paris.  In 2007, he became a marketer at Microsoft and has held his currently role since June 2010.

When Steve Ballmer visited Microsoft’s French HQ in Paris a few weeks ago, he seemed pretty impressed with the entrepreneurial community here that puts France as one of Europe’s most competitive ICT markets, not least due to the Windows Phone 7 competition for developers.
