Peter F Brown
Independent Consultant, Secretary of OASIS

Peter is an independent consultant, currently based in Los Angeles, California and before that was Managing Director of a small technology start-up in Belgium. He has worked for more than 20 years in the Council of Europe and European Parliament as well as a period with the Austrian Federal Government’s “eGov Unit”.

Peter has been active in standards work for nearly two decades at both a European level and globally. He is consulted by a number of Fortune 500 companies as well as governments and public authorities, particularly in Europe and North America, on public policy and technology. As well as past Chairman and current Secretary of the global standards consortium, OASIS, he is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and of the International Association of Privacy Professions (IAPP).
