Danish company harnessing global potential with cloud computing

This month’s European Cloud SME of the Month is MailTalk™, a Danish company that provides a platform for “digital dialogue”, enabling more effective and productive marketing and communications. MailTalk is a very young company, with 10 employees, but sees global potential. MailTalk’s approach is intriguing and promising as it exploits the latest technology for what it calls “engagement marketing” and “strategic digital dialogue”. This means that MailTalk’s services seek to give any organisation an enhanced, enriched two-way connection with the people it is trying to communicate with. Even when communications involve a large number of people, MailTalk’s service helps distribute information or respond to inquiries in a manner that is both individualized and intelligent. Effective communications help organisations shape behavior as well as increase satisfaction.
As a communication and process platform, MailTalk uses the various sources of data in corporate IT systems and streamlines processes, for example, for maintaining the accuracy of customer contact data across different parts of a system. It can handle information for vast quantities of recipients in a rapid and timely fashion. MailTalk is already implemented in several very large private and public organizations, including Danish public sector organization such as The Ministry of Education, the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority, and the Danish Agency for Governmental Management.
MailTalk sells its service either as an ‘on premise’ solution or as cloud-based Software as a Service, by customer choice. In order to grow more rapidly, MailTalk is using the Windows Azure platform for its cloud-based service. MailTalk has also joined the Microsoft BizSpark program, which actively supports thousands of technology startup companies across Europe.
