Europe 2020

The European Commission's strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.

The EU has announced its Europe 2020 vision for improving its economies and addressing its citizens’ most important needs.

One of these, the Digital Agenda flagship, aims to promote the development, access and use of information and communication technology (ICT) for the benefit of all citizens. Another, the Innovation Union, calls for a rethink of the role of R&D in society. Youth On The Move -  a third flagship initiative – aims to enhance the performance of higher education institutions and increase mobility in Europe among students and trainees.

The other initiatives will tackle poverty, resources, skills and jobs and industrial policy.
