In his view, the shift to cloud computing is as big as when PCs came about in the seventies. He argues that cloud computing will change the economics of doing business and running governments and will spur productivity gains. As the European Commission is now very focused on the Digital Agenda, cloud computing will be a key driver to achieve one single digital market and will help Europe compete with the rest of the world.
