Services and interoperability
09 November 2009
The EU's Services Directive aims to facilitate the provision of services across borders within the European Union and requires EU Member States to establish an online space for service providers to have a Single Point of Contact (SPOC.)

We recently hosted a workshop (part of the Microsoft Interoperability Series) to analyze what it will take to make Points of Single Contact a reality. We asked some of the experts present at the event to describe the basics: what the Directive ensures, what the stumbling blocks are, and their views on how to overcome these.
