Now in its 7th year, the BizSpark European Summit brought together thought-leaders in the entrepreneurial community across Europe - investors, government representatives, start-ups, journalists and Microsoft’s network partners. The summit provided a unique platform to debate the issues facing tech entrepreneurs in Europe and see some of the best start-ups in Europe. The summit was brought to you in association with ING.

The event was moderated by Juan Señor, who is a partner at Innovation Media Consulting Group, a former presenter for Wall Street Journal TV and CNBC and is visiting fellow at Oxford University.

A packed agenda included:

Roundtables keynotes – covered both business and technology, from the economic challenges that entrepreneurs face through to how they can leverage cloud technology to accelerate their businesses. Entrepreneurs and business investors have debated what it takes to build a truly sustainable cloud business in Europe. They have also discussed new trends in funding, designed to provide a comprehensive perspective on traditional and emerging, alternative start-up funding sources.

Start-up pitches - The event also hosted 15  of the most promising BizSpark start-ups. After a rigorous selection process, these 15 have been pitching their business proposition live in front of an audience of investors and a panel of expert judges.
For people who were unable to attend the event, a dedicated hashtag #BizSparkEU was available on Twitter , making it easier to follow the conversation.

NEW The winner of the Microsoft European BizSpark Summit 2011 edition is ...Mopapp!  Mopapp was born out of the experience of three people devoted to developing mobile innovative applications. They developed a tool that could allow people to quickly see how applications perform, that is, how well they sell, how many downloads and updates they get, where most customers are, and a lot more information .
