IAMCP European Leadership Summit 2012
General theme: Innovative SMEs: the key to economic regeneration in Europe
Time & Date: 09:15 – 13:00, Tuesday 27th March 2012
Venue: Renaissance Hotel, Rue du Parnasse 19, 1050 Brussels

Innovative SMEs have a particular role to play in generating innovation and growth, by enabling new transformative technologies to reenergize
productivity, efficiency and competitiveness for both industry and the public sector. Innovative businesses are already driving growth in Europe, as the ICT sector represents about 25% of GDP growth in the EU, but SMEs still struggle to reap the full benefits of the single market, hampered by heavy bureaucratic burdens and insufficient harmonization, limiting cross-border business.
The
International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP) represents 5,000 small to medium-sized high growth technology companies, over 1,500 of which are based in the EU. The IAMCP policy sessions will enable IAMCP representatives to engage with EU policy makers and discuss how they aim to strengthen local economies, encourage job creation, promote a safe and secure online ecosystem, and encourage the use of technology to address pressing societal challenges.
