Microsoft’s BizSpark fires up startups, ignites a community

Almost exactly a year ago, Microsoft launched BizSpark, a global program designed to catalyze the success of entrepreneurs by making Microsoft’s end-to-end software solutions available to early-stage startups with no upfront costs.

The program continues to gain momentum and has tracked some impressive results in its first year out: more than 25,000 startups in over 100 countries have joined BizSpark. The program connects these startups to a growing global community of more than 2,000 technology veterans, entrepreneurial experts and resource centers who can help them navigate the challenges of growing a new business. In tough economic times, it’s these initiatives that make a difference.
