Tech on Tour: Wall Street Journal to meet Europe’s start-up community
09 September 2011
10 capitals in just 20 days: this is the plan of Ben Rooney, editor of the Wall Street Journal’s Tech Europe, with the aim “to take the temperature of the continent and talk to the hottest start-ups in the coolest places.” Starting on September 10th in Tel Aviv, the tour ends of 30 Sept in Dublin, fitting in Istanbul, Paris, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Tallinn, Moscow, Berlin and Barcelona in between.

Our local Microsoft teams are looking forward to introducing Ben to some of brightest and best examples within the flourishing membership of BizSpark, our global program dedicated to helping today’s entrepreneurs.
The line-up is still being finalised, but will include the likes of:
SkillsPages (an Ireland-based company that has developed a clever way to match-make skilled workers with the people who need them), Russia’s
Actio (winner of the People’s Choice award at our last BizSpark summit and with its online video storage system, definitely ‘one to watch’) and Israeli company
Soluto, 2010 TechCrunch Disrupt winner and a BizSpark One company, which solves PC users frustrations by identifying which application is causing a problem.
These
cloud-computing examples represent just some of the 12,000+ start-ups we are supporting with free software, support and visibility across Europe, as part of our mission to support the next generation of technology leaders.
