BizSpark is just one year old this week and already more than 25,000 companies have signed up! Which is a good sign.

MicrosoftStartupZone is where it all comes together online. This site regularly features a Startup of the Day and some great insight from others in the community. From humble beginnings, many of the startups featured here have benefited from the programme and gone on to do great things. One of the latest featured companies is a European startup called Mobile Tracing Services SAS, based in France, who specialize in combining mobile phone and web technologies for professional services. The site features an interview with the young CEO, Raynald Messié.

There’s also the Startup Directory, where you’ll find all previously featured companies, listed by sector and country. Some truly remarkable stories there (and we won’t deny that we’re proud to have been part of it). Also worth a look are the team blogs – the Emerging Business team, based in Silicon Valley, is the beating heart of this effort and works closely with startups, entrepreneurs, Governments and the Academic and Investor communities worldwide. Outside the US, Europe is the most vibrant region and so far over 7,000 (or about one third of the total) companies are engaged in BizSpark, developing cool apps on the Windows platform.  

MicrosoftStartupZone is fully RSS enabled, so do subscribe directly if you want regular updates. In any case, we’ll regularly be pointing to the various goings on, so watch this space!
