As part of the Emerging Business team at Microsoft, I have been working closely with start-ups and entrepreneurs across the world for quite a few years. In my first post I spoke about BizSpark, our programme for helping start-ups with software and support and in the second one, I mentioned the importance of cloud computing and the opportunities it has created for start-ups . This time I talk about the European Union Grants Advisor. EUGA is a programme we’ve set up to help “connect the dots” between the amazing opportunities being offered by the European Union in the shape of grants to help stimulate growth and the companies that can benefit. What often happens is that the right companies simply aren’t aware of what’s on offer although a grant could potentially catapult them to the next level. That’s where we step in to help.
