Developers are the lifeblood of Microsoft. I know, I know, it’s a well-worn Microsoft mantra but believe me, it’s never been more true. Today, the hunger for new technologies is only growing.

Thanks to a global network of highly innovative people and software, technology is emerging which offers inspiring solutions to deal with today’s challenges - technologies which were inconceivable just a few years ago! Be it software to make our lives better, easier, healthier, more eco-friendly or simply more fun. Plus with the opportunities the cloud offers, the future is in the hands of the most innovative developers.
So it’s always a pleasure to catch up with some of our European software developer partners when they pass through Brussels. This time we managed to get them on film too: click below to hear what they had to say on European policy and the role of government. Some key issues that came up was a need for financing, skills, intellectual property rights, and protectionism. Overall, I'd say they were quite optimistic on the future economic outlook for Europe.
