Video interview: How cloud computing can help public sector in Europe make difficult choices
06 May 2011
Following the recent economic downturn, public sector administration across Europe have had to make some tough financial decisions, whilst still ensuring high quality and cost effective services for the ever more digital citizens in Europe.

At the recent opening of the Cloud & Interoperability Center in Brussels I took the opportunity to ask Jean-Philippe Courtois, President of Microsoft International, how cloud computing can help public sector deliver more with less.
Jean-Philippe gave some interesting examples of how cloud computing indeed brings benefits to public sector in terms of flexibility, elasticity and cost savings. This new technology can help free up resources to be used for other societal priorities, such as health and education, and thus help governments serve themselves and citizens more effectively.
Hope you enjoy the video.
