Get on the Bus – what happened next?

We recently wrote about the Get on the Bus tour of 12 European cities by the Microsoft Born to Learn team.

The aim was to provide students, looking to make it in the world of ICT, an exclusive preview of Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, and Microsoft Exchange Server 2010; and to highlight training and certification opportunities that will sharpen their skills on next year’s hottest technologies.

When the team were in Belgium, we spoke to Ken Rosen, Director of Community and Evangelism at Microsoft Learning and one of the mainstays of the tour, a few of the students present (only a few - we only had a 10 minute coffee break – sorry!) and Bob Simms, a Microsoft Certified Trainer with QA in the UK who had won a competition to travel with the bus (he blogs here). Hear what they had to say below.

So what happened next?! We won’t re-invent the wheel – the team tell all about their subsequent stops in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic in their own words on the Get on the Bus Community blog – so we’d urge you to have a look there. Plenty of good video footage too.

p.s. If you really wanted to make it to one of the stops but couldn’t, we’d recommend that you download the presenters’ slide-decks here.
